The Client

Simply Colors specialises in creating fun and vibrant personalised children’s clothing and accessories across a colourful product range. Since the company’s beginnings in 2008, the offering has grown from solely clothing to a wide range of items, including towels, lunch boxes, and children’s suitcases. Every item is lovingly made for each customer. Simply Colors personalises items for customers all over the world, sending bespoke gifts to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

As well as selling products through their own website, Simply Colors also partners with the boutique marketplace, (NOTHS).

The Situation

As demand for the Simply Colors product range has grown over the years, so has their need for a carrier management solution that could keep up with high parcel volumes and varying customer requirements.

With customers based across the globe, it is important for Simply Colors to have a choice of delivery options to fulfil their customers’ individual needs.

In addition, Simply Colors wanted to automatically consolidate orders across two sales channels, and simplify and maintain control over shipping processes.

The Solution

GFS spent time getting to know the Simply Colors business to ensure the solution was tailored to their exact needs. GFS can provide access to nearly 50 carriers with over 1000 different services, so with GFS’ expert guidance, Simply Colors choose the best services most suitable for them.

In addition, a combination of the GFS Channel Connector and despatch system, GFS Selector, gives Simply Colors the seamless automation and data transfer experience they were looking for, together with swift order imports from two sales channels, and carrier compliant labels with tracking information sent to the consumer and Channel.

With the GFS Channel Connector and GFS Selector, Simply Colors is able to:

  • Open up communication between all parties: Simply Colors own website, NOTHS and GFS
  • Create own routing rules to enable automatic carrier or service selection, these can include delivery address, parcel weight and order value, among many other options
  • Print carrier compliant labels to ensure parcels are fully trackable
  • Export tracking information to both NOTHS and the Simply Colors website to notify customers when orders have been despatched
  • Have access to the GFS Customer Care Team who pro-actively track and trace their shipments, dealing with any exceptions as soon as they occur

The Result

Simply Colors now access a mix of delivery services across multiple carriers and has set routing rules to automatically select the best service for each individual order. This streamlined approach provides their customer with the most efficient service.

GFS Channel Connector and GFS Selector together have automated despatch and shipping, making it easy to get orders out of the door quickly, saving substantial manhours that had previously been spent manually inputting data.

Once a parcel has been despatched, GFS Customer Care continue to fully track each one, ensuring that errors and abnormalities are swiftly resolved. Simply Colors now have the flexibility to provide a first class customer delivery experience.
