GFS are seeking an Operations Support Executive on a 3 month Fixed-Term Contract to assist our Operations team with collections via GFS’s suppliers and carriers and to report and escalate any issues. The shift pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Weekends – 11:00-19:30.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the services and products offered by GFS
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the services and products offered by all GFS carrier partners;
  • Develop a detailed understanding of all partner carrier networks and how each one operates
  • Develop an understanding of how our suppliers of operational services work and their capabilities
  • To maintain an understanding of GFS new services and products
  • Pro-actively manage the GFS Solution collection activity and log all issues
  • Track third party suppliers to ensure collections are being made to schedule
  • Take corrective action where variances to schedule are identified and record any costs incurred
  • Inform customers of any variation to their scheduled collection advising of impact, if any, on the service offering
  • Point of contact for additional ad-hoc and planned collection requests from customers, account managers and sales managers
  • Set up additional ad-hoc and scheduled collections with 3rd party suppliers and carriers
  • Advise and update GFS consolidation points of any changes to planned schedules Provide ‘out of hours’ weekend operational cover
  • Pro-actively manage weekend collections ensuring they are being made to schedule and advise customers and consolidation points
  • Receive confirmation of successful customer collection and successful delivery to GFS consolidation point/carrier from 3rd party supplier or GFS driverResolve weekend collection issues and where there will be a service impact advise the relevant account manager
  • Prepare data and reports on 3rd party suppliers performance with issues, impacts, corrective action and costs
  • To assist in the implementation of all new GFS customers
  • To liaise with Customer Care to identify specific customers who may be suffering ongoing service issues, to then liaise with Account Manager and Carrier partners and utilise expertise to identify and resolve issues
  • To liaise with Account Managers to highlight and resolve issues with customers and identify where further advice/training may be required in order to meet the GFS offering
  • Provide management with reports analysing supplier and carrier performance To help collate information for regular carrier reviews
  • To coordinate the administration of the GFS van fleet in liaison with GFS depots
  • Promote GFS brand image and values through own appearance and behaviour so that it reflects GFS high standards and develops customer relationships
  • Continuously strive to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Strive to enhance the operational service provided to our customers
  • Develop good working relations with customers and suppliers by telephone, emails and face-to-face throughout the UK

Education and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a customer facing role;
